Dr. Carroll Edwards

is a communication consultant with an avid interest in travel, history and heritage. Her passion for writing has earned her several awards in creative writing competitions. She is now exploring new pathways as a freelance writer. In our “Landmark” feature, she takes us on a historical trip to Rockfort Mineral Spa and encourages us to take a dip in the healing stream.

Dr. Judith Dallas

 is Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, practising at Winchester Business Centre and Harbour View Medical Centre. She is a former lecturer at the University of the West Indies. She is also Fellow of the Royal College and American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has written for several publications, including the West Indian Medical Journal. She is married and is the mother of two children. In “Women’s Health”, she writes on long-acting reversible contraceptives. 

 is Consultant Urologist and lecturer at the University of the West Indies and has written extensively on the subject of men’s health. He is a past president of the Jamaica Urological Society. In our “Men’s Health” feature, he coauthors a feature on Strokes in Men giving useful information on identifying symptoms.

Simone Foote

 is an experienced marketing professional with over 25 years’ experience working in the financial services industry. She is the mother of two and is an avid runner and art enthusiast. In our “Real Estate” feature, she gives useful tips on creating a home emergency plan. In our Health section, she writes on how to be financially healthy.

Michele Geister

 is a lifestyle journalist and multimedia producer. A former Much Music Network entertainment and music video producer, she made the change from “life in the fast lane” to focus on positive, life-affirming stories or “media with a message”, as she likes to say. In this issue, she takes us to two beautiful homes, which are both relaxing and inviting.

Robyn Miller

is a freelance writer who gets a kick out of writing about art and human interest stories.  She has written for The Gleaner and several local publications and also worked as a correspondent for the China-based, Xinhua News Agency. She is the mother of a young daughter, who inherited her love for art and books. In our “Art” feature, she visits with the talented self-taught painter, Mark Bell.

Rosemary Parkinson

loves art, good food and hopping throughout the Caribbean. She is a connoisseur of Caribbean cuisine and an avid photographer. Her publications include “Culinaria: The Caribbean”, “Jerking Around Jamaica”, “Cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres”, “Nyam Jamaica” and “Barbados Bu’n-Bu’n”. The latter two are now e-books, available on amazon/kindle. In our Food and Entertainment feature, she takes us on a scenic Sunday trip to Fort Lauderdale Coasts and visits restaurants with Latin American and Caribbean influences.

Dr Karen Phillips

is Consultant Physician and Associate Lecturer at the University of the West Indies.

In our “Men’s Health” feature, she coauthors with Dr Aiken on Men and Strokes.

Latoya Smith

is the editorial assistant at HHG Magazine.  She is a wife and the mother of two children and enjoys planning family and church activities.  In our Travel & Recreation feature, she gives useful tips to consider when travelling abroad during a crisis.

Fay Wint

is an interior designer and has written on design for several publications, including The Gleaner. Her design business, Nica Interiors, specializes in commercial and residential interior design as well as construction finishes. In our Interior Design feature, she guides us on how to choose countertops for our kitchens or bathrooms. In our garden feature, she visits Pauline Blake in her beautiful garden. As an avid gardener herself, she writes in our Garden feature, on how to maintain a garden when water is not readily available.

Celia Webster

is the head of the English department at Campion College and has been teaching for over 22 years.  She is also a wife and is the mother of three boys. In our “Parenting” section, she writes on how to remain grounded and maintain a balanced family life in a changing world.
